Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox, born 25th December 1954 in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson & Thomas Allison Lennox is the name used by her parents. Lennox was awarded a scholarship to attend London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. Lennox was paid a salary and part-time work to supplement her budget. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was dissatisfied about her performances as compared to the performance of her peers. Then she began to consider different options. Lennox began her career as a flute-player with the group Dragons Playground. She quit the band shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. Her main role was as the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until in 1980. She began to meet Dave Stewart, with whom they would create the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her solo debut album Diva, which was released in 1992. Both commercially as well as critically, it was an enormous hit. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album by herself came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs most loved soul jazz and blues songs from her childhood. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox has released Lepidoptera a collection comprising four tracks improvised by piano. The E.P. Her first album"Now I Letting You Go... It is an accompaniment to her installation of work in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25.
